Challenges with emotional regulation often looks like too much (tantrums, outbursts) or too little (numbness, shutting down, avoidance). Wherever you fall on the spectrum you may find yourself having challenges feeling and regulating your emotions effectively. Maybe this is impacting you or your child’s relationships, ability to do tasks, or day to day functioning.
Therapy can help us work towards that more regulated middle ground. We will work to learn more about your lived experiences and how things are showing up for you in order to learn strategies and skills to better regulate your emotions.
Depending on your needs and how things are showing up, we will work collaboratively to implement strategies that help you feel more empowered to address challenges. Emotions are not good or bad but they can be uncomfortable- we can help to increase tolerance and find outlets that are sustainable and values aligned.
